For Children

In this section we will provide things to do for children: crafts, painting, decorations - and of course we have the theme of the Alps.
We will show what children from the Alps are playing with and provide you with examples and designs for glass paint, typical seasonal decorations you can find in Austria, Slovenia, North-Italy, South-Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and South-East-France.

 

Embroidery Pattern Hearts and Apple

After we have introduced in October the small crochet basket with embroidery, we have received several emails by MiaDeRoca readers to ask for some more small stitching patterns... Small meaning a height of less than ten rows. Of course, we could, as we are as well caught by the embroidery bug – for the start we have some hearts and and apple.

Colourful Tealight glasses cover – sweet knit

Dear friend do bring some great smelling ones when they visit. To have those lovely close at hand and keep them in a nice box, I do need the perfect little basket. Rainy Days 2: Watching Alpine Movies

Our second part of "Things To Do for Rainy Days" has some things for Grown-ups and Children. If the sky is all gray and its raining cats, dogs and goats, then you have to stay inside to spend your precious free time.

Many take their laptop or notebook with them when they are travelling. Maybe it is to finish some work that was not completed the days before the vacation started, or to regularly check their e-mails.

If your portable PC or Mac has a DVD-Slot, then grab some movies for your holidays and if it might be a little wet and cold outside you can watch the Alps in technicolor in your hotel, caravan or pension.
